How to Use Calling Cards to Make International Calls
While making an international call, the most important aspect is remembering the telephone number, country code etc. Most of the times, it is almost impossible to remember all these numbers. If one uses his Calling Cards for making international calls, it is all the more difficult. This is because; the person has to first of all dial the access number then the PIN number. After that he has to dial the country code and the telephone number he is trying to contact.
But, recent technology has made the task of making international calls, using Calling Cards easier. This has been made possible by what is known ‘Pinless dialing’. In this facility, the caller is allowed to register the number. Once registered, the caller is assigned an access number. As soon as the caller dials the access number, the caller is taken to the ‘resources’ box. In the resource box, he can find the International Calling Plans. Thereafter, the caller can select the appropriate plan and then dial the required number at the other country. Then the caller is asked to dial the country code. Then he has to enter the telephone which is trying to contact. Before he is connected, the caller is informed of the balance available in his card.
This facility will work much effectively on a smart phone. Here again the disadvantage is remembering so much of numbers. To overcome this difficulty one can store the number in the address book.
Normally one can store the telephone numbers in his mobile phone. But, making an international call through mobile phone is expensive. Therefore, people prefer to use Calling Card for making International Calls which is much cheaper.
