Calling Cards - a good option or not?
I recently heard some friends of mine complaining about calling cards. Personally, I have had nothing to complain about so far! They were saying they got busy lines for several minutes to several destination, and sometimes bad line quality.
What I would advise anyone who buys calling cards (and I also told this to my friends) is that you should find a provider offering you a free trial. Like nobelcom calling cards, for example. If you’ve never used them, I think they still have an offer with a free trial (15 mins) if you sign up for an account (this is done free of charge).
To me, any company that will give you a free trial is confident about the quality of their service. If they don’t offer trials, all you can do is ask around or buy from them, and see how it works. And if it sucks, then next time you’ll know better. But in the meantime, that company did make a profit out of selling you a shitty service...
I can tell you from my personal experience that calling cards WILL save you a lot of money on international calls (s, YES, they are a great option). BUT do invest some time in finding a trustworthy provider! And the best way to test this is, as I said above, to get a free trial for the calling cards or phone cards you’re considering for buying.
